Day THREE already !!!

 Colton won the pancake challange at breakfast, the boy loves his pancakes !!!!!

 Now off to the beach,  ok we went to the bench everyday because if there is one place we all really love it would be the beach.

 Jaiden can't decide on whether to go in or not, remember it is February and it was cold. she finally couldn't resist and in she went..... then out she come, freezing !!!

 Jaren would follow the tide out... then it would follow him in !!

It was also very cool at the beach on this day because as we were playing about 25 vintage planes flew over us, they were from the air show the day before.  We felt like this was our own private show !!!!

ok we couldn't get out of town with out stopping at a thrift store, we didn't find any treasures, but it was fun.  We also went to the Mormon Battlation, which was amazing, and to Old Town San Diego, where the kids panned for gold, and they got to make candles of there hands.  It was so cool !!! I am writing this is July 2011, and the kids are still talking about what a great trip we had.  It is always fun to make family memories  !!  Thanks Melissa for knowing how to drive in California !!!

day two of our get away !!!!!!

 This was our sweet little hotel room  !!  We got yummy pizza and just had a party in our room  !!!  ( it did have  2 more beds so it really was comfy for all or us )

 We took a tour of the USS Midway Ship, this was amazing,  lots of hands on exhibits for the kids and everyone gets a head set where you can listen to people that once were on this ship, share there experiances.  The kids loved this so did Melissa and I  !!!  We spent 6 hours there, and while we were there  it just so happened to be the Navy's 100th birthday !!  Oh my another party!!!  The Blue Angels, and 100's of vintage planes, planes refueling, helicopters, all flying right  above while we stood on the deck of the Midway.  The kids are still asking when we get to go there again.  

 there were 25 planes up on the top deck, the kids were just in ahhhh.

Ok we  pulled the kids out of school on a friday and left at 6am for California, let me just say we had a blast and this is only day one!!!!

Where is my truck????????

 Thanks Bob and Colton for working so hard !!!

Well 2 days before Christmas 2010 we walked outside and Bob came in and said "where is your truck?" yes it had been stolen,  we got word a week later that it had been found.  Bob drove to Ajo to get it with the flatbed, the way it looks in the pic's is good. It was used to run drugs from Mexico to here through a wash in Ajo, in fact there was still remnants of drugs when we got it back.  It had no tires, no windows, the outside and inside had been spray painted, we we're sure why we picked it up. Bob said if he could get it started we may try to fix it, ......... well it started and after  2 weeks of HARD work, she was back on the road, and I am still driving her today, just grateful to have such a talented husband & son.
